Our main mountain: Watles, directly near the hotel

From Plantapatsch Hut (mountain station of the chair lift, open to the start of October – in summer also reachable with the lift facilities), a well-marked trail leads in a northern direction to Pfaffenseen Lakes and to Watles. From here the trail continues in a north-westerly direction over panoramic slopes in the direction of Schafberg. From here, enjoy the beautiful view to the east to the Matscher and Planeiler mountains.

Sign-post: At an altitude of approx. 2400m near Schafberg, you will reach a sign-post: the route to Watles now turns left and along the panoramic mountain ridge in a south-westerly direction to the summit cross of the imposing Panorama Peak at 2555 m.
From the summit, hike in a south-westerly direction in the direction of the mountain station of the upper chair lift, where in the vicinity of the mountain pass (approx. 2500 m) you will see a sign-post for Sesvenna Hut in a northerly direction. Follow the climb tracks leading down to "Mairl" ("Auf dem Mäuerle" -2338 m) in a north-westerly direction, namely the saddle between the Schliniger and Zerzer valleys. From here, follow trail no. 8 in a westerly direction leading to Schafhütte Hut (2446m) and from here to the hut in a north-westerly direction.
