Do you have your own hang-glider?
The private starting point near Hotel Watles is located at 1750 metres of altitude. You can start 100 m from the hotel. The field in front of the hotel is ideal for an easy start. The starting place is also good for top landing. The landing place is located in Schleis at an altitude of 1060 m directly near the road.
Another starting place can be reached by lift with a further 20-minute walk up to 2220 m. Both starting places are not suitable in case of north wind. In case of north wind, you can choose the starting places in Sulden at Ortler Mountain or in Schluderns.
You can cross the entire Vinschgau Valley from the Sesvenna Mountain Group to the Ortler Mountain Group and the Ötztal Alps. The best days are dry spring and early summer days without north wind, with high base and low to moderate condensation.
